Over the last sixteen years, the Black Eyed Peas have risen to international stardom. During half time of the 2011 Super Bowl, the Black Eyed Peas solidified their status as international sensations as the main attraction of the show.
What’s so interesting about the Black Eyed Peas is that when the group first formed, most people would have never expected that they would eventually sell more than twenty-five million albums around the world. The reason is because when they put together their first album, it was never even released by their label. However, in spite of this set back, the band never wavered from having a unique style that set them apart from other groups.
A big turning point for the group came when Stacey Ferguson officially became a member. Although Fergie didn’t join the group until seven years after its formation, there’s no denying that this event forever changed the destiny of the group. When they released their third album in 2003, the group went from relative obscurity to selling more than eight million albums around the globe. After the success of that album, the Black Eyed Peas were put on the path to sustained success.
Over the next eight years, the group released three more albums. Stacy Ferguson and the group’s success hit new heights when they got to perform during the 2011 Super Bowl. While their performance received mixed reviews, there’s no denying that this was a huge moment for the group. Thanks to the exposure they received from this performance, it seems that the future will continue to be bright for Stacy Ferguson and the rest of the Black Eyed Peas.
